The International Press (IP) committee is a unique and dynamic body within the Model UN conference. Unlike traditional committees that focus on debate and resolution-drafting, the IP simulates the role of the global media. Its members act as impartial journalists and photographers, tasked with reporting on the proceedings of the entire conference.
At KTMUN, the IP gives delegates the opportunity to step into the fast-paced world of international reporting. This international reporting further has two formats - Journalism and Photography. The role of IP is to ensure transparency, foster inter-committee communication, and hold delegates accountable for their words and actions, mirroring the essential function of a free press in global affairs.
A voracious reader and avid debater, Ms. Suyesha Mishra has completed her B.A. from Ravenshaw University. In addition to being a javelin throw athlete, she has been the recipient of the Chancellor’s Cup in debate from two different universities. Endowed with a wide range of skills, she has presented a paper on Sustainable Development at an international symposium and won awards for drama performances at the state level. She began her MUN journey as a liaison officer and has since won five Best Delegate/Reporter awards across her past six conferences as a delegate.
Swagat Mishra closes deals as a Key Account Manager at ICICI. Off corporate hours—and in every free moment in between—he transforms into a photography maestro, capturing magic through his lens. With four years of experience freezing moments in stunning frames, he doesn’t just click pictures; he creates masterpieces. From luxury machines like Audi, BMW, Triumph, and Kawasaki to music sensations such as KING, Honey Singh, Nucleya, and Badshah, he’s been behind the lens of legends. But no matter how high he climbs, his mission remains the same: to capture The Perfect Portrait. After all, history looks way better in high resolution!
Since 2018, Tanish Sir has been a name that quietly echoes through the MUN corridors—not just for his presence, but for the perspective he brings. From the streets of Cuttack, his journey has been one of growth, reflection, and helping others see things differently. A familiar face from the pre-COVID era, he is known not only as one of the finest photographers in the circuit but also as someone who ensures everyone around him grows a little sharper, sees a little deeper, and never feels left behind. At KTMUN 2025, he brings that same calm precision and creative eye—capturing not just what happens, but what it truly means.
Journalists will cover committee sessions, conduct interviews with delegates, write news articles, and publish opinion pieces. Photographers will be responsible for capturing the defining moments of diplomacy in action. Together, the IP team will produce official conference newsletters, press releases, and digital content, providing a comprehensive overview of the event.
